Anglican Rosary Prayer for St. Mary Magdalene

hymnsofheresy:

In honor of St. Mary Magdalene’s upcoming feast day, I wrote an Anglican rosary prayer, and I thought you might find it interesting! The first prayer is adapted from a collect from the BCP.

Crucifix: Almighty God, whose blessed Son did heal and sanctify his servant Mary Magdalene, and who did call her as witness to his resurrection: all praise and glory is yours, now and for ever.

Invitatory: Holy St. Mary Magdalene, devoted and strong: when ill you held fast to hope, and when despairing you held fast to faith: pray for all those who share in your trials, that they, like you, may come to share in Christ’s work and dwell in his kingdom.

Cruciform: Lord, have mercy. Christ, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.

Weeks:

St. Mary, pray for us.

For those who suffer in body.

For those who suffer in mind.

For those who suffer in spirit.

For those who suffer shame.

For those who are oppressed.

For women everywhere.

this is so lovely @theoxie!

brideofourlady:

O Most Holy Mother Sophia,

Thank you for your presence and assistance which guided me throughout the day.

Although I dwell within the realms of imperfection,

Your presence helps guide me and protect me from morning until night.

Forgive my transgressions, and comfort me tonight,

As you comforted Yeshua in the Garden of Gethsemane.

By the Sovereign, the Saviour and the Spirit,

Amen.

You, O Eternal Trinity,
are a deep sea into which,
the more I enter,
the more I find,
and the more I find,
the more I seek.
O abyss,
O eternal Godhead,
O sea profound,
what more could you give me than yourself?
God’s grace, unsought and unearned,
blows through my life,
and all I need to do
is raise my sails to catch the full wind.

A Lenten Prayer (of the Franciscans)

spoonsinbassclef:

May the Holy One bless you with discomfort. Discomfort at easy answers, half truths, and superficial relationships, so that you may live deep within your heart.

May the Creator bless you with anger. Anger at injustice, oppression and exploitation of people, so that you may work for justice, freedom and peace.

May the Redeemer bless you with tears. Tears to shed for those who suffer from pain, rejection, starvation and war, so that you may reach out your hand to comfort them and turn their pain into joy.

May the Spirit bless you with foolishness. Enough foolishness to believe that you can make a difference in this world, so that you can do what others claim cannot be done.

And the blessing of the Divine that creates, redeems and sanctifies, be upon you and all you love and pray for this day, and forever more. Amen.

Purify Me From Isfet

igamuinacra:

Bless
me Noble Ma’at and purify me from Isfet.

Bless
me Noble Ma’at and grant me Strength and Might to fight Isfet.

Hear
me Great Ma’at and purify me from Isfet and its agents, like the waters of Nun
cleansing the divine body of the Netjeru.

Hear
me Great Ma’at and purify me from Isfet and its agents, like the first sunrise
burning away the primordial darkness.

Hear
me O Netjer(u) and grant me Ma’at in my Heart and Mind.

Hear
me O Netjer(u) and grant me Ma’at in my Words and Actions.

Hear
me O Netjer(u) and grant me Ma’at in my Voice and Limbs

In
my negligence I have committed falsehoods.

In
my negligence I have committed wrongdoings.

In
my negligence I have committed acts of Isfet.

Take
pity on me Noble Ma’at, and purify me from Isfet and its agents.

Take
pity on me Great Netjer(u), and purify me from Isfet and its agents.

Let
Ma’at come before me and grant me Her Strength and Might to fight Isfet.

Let
Ma’at fill my limbs so I may help another.

Let
Ma’at fill my voice so I may help another.

Let
Ma’at fill my words so I may help another.

Ma’at
lives in my Heart and Mind eternally, purifying Isfet.

Ma’at
lives in my Words and Actions eternally, purifying Isfet.

Ma’at
lives in my Voice and Limbs eternally, purifying Isfet.

I
beseech thee Noble Ma’at, purify me from Isfet and its agents.
