today I contacted an ancestor of mine who was a magical practitioner. she’s very fiery, and somewhat impatient when it comes to my divination instead of speaking directly. she seems eager to “correct my methods,” though, which I think is her way of saying she’s willing to teach me a few things.

Happy Chalica!

In 2005 many Unitarian Universalists began observing Chalica, a
week-long celebration of the seven principles of Unitarian Universalism. Beginning the first Monday in December, a chalice is lit each day. Each
we reflect on that days principle, and try do something to put it into
practice.

1st Day: The inherent worth and dignity of every person;

2nd Day: Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;

3rd Day: Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;

4th Day: A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;

5th Day: The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;

6th Day: The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;

7th Day: Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

the other day, aset showed up while i was meditating (which is unusual for her) to tell me that nebt-het had been trying to get my attention. “i’ll talk to her later,” i said, and tried to blow out the candle. it didn’t go out. i tried again after i talked to her, and it went out instantly. the netjeru are having none of my procrastination.
