Jews, Christians, and Muslims are planning to build a house of worship Berlin – the “House Of One” – that brings a synagogue, a church, and a mosque together under one roof, making it the world’s first house of prayer for three religions. The three separate sections will be linked by a communal room in the center of the building. This will serve as a meeting place, where worshippers and members of the public can come together and learn more about the religions and each other.
It is to be built in "Fischerinsel", on the site where the first church in Berlin, St Peter’s, once stood.

There’s a crowdfunding initiative on their website. As of late 2016, about one third of the funding is already raised.

a middle aged witch with a self esteem issue and an inflated ego that probably goes by the title of “sorcerer”: I can’t believe some people really do emoji spells and make their own sigils, like, what kind of self respecting witch would do that???!1!!

“Trisagion” by Psalters

Not surprisingly, the Psalters’ music mostly deals with religion. Their album Divine Liturgy of the Wretched Exiles takes traditional psalters and transforms them into something archaic and nomadic and relevant to the materialism of modern life. Though a few of the reinterpreted psalters are intended to promote the merits of dumpster diving and living outside of materials – something that I find interesting – what really fascinates me about this and other world music bands is the ability to create an entirely different atmosphere. This song takes throaty, Arabic-esque vocals, Greek translation of a traditional psalter, and combines them with strong percussion elements to create a new psalter that transports me to an another time, another world. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever listened to.

Lyrics:

Agios O Theos,
Agios Eshiros,
Agios Athanatos,
Eleison Imas.

Holy God,
Holy Mighty,
Holy Immortal,
Have mercy upon us.

Bad Penny

Here’s a fun little jinx I used to cast a lot.

You Need:

~ A penny

Hold the penny in your left hand. Get angry. Whatever makes you angry, think of it now. Make a fist around the penny and hold it up to your mouth. When you’re good and angry, start swearing at the penny, calling it nasty names, telling it ugly things. Go on as long as you like. (This is a great way to vent!)

When you’re done, say, “Pass it on.”

Drop the penny in the house of someone who’s annoyed you, use it to pay at a business that’s done you wrong, give it to someone you want to inconvenience, sow discord in the world for the lulz, go nuts. I used to charge ‘em by the handful and scatter them downtown when I was partially homeless and hated everyone and everything.

Notes:

As some of you may have realized, you can use this as a way to cleanse! If you don’t want to weaponize the penny, say “Hold that for me” when you’re done charging, and dispose of it safely or cleanse the penny.

Do not keep the penny. Just do not. I once cursed a penny, dropped it so it landed in my shoe by accident, and had a stunningly shitty day. It takes ten seconds to cast if you have a penny and you’re already angry. Storing them up just means they go to work on you. So if you want to carry ammo, just keep uncharged pennies on you and charge them as needed.

Creating a sigil

A sigil magick is a symbol that you creat that carries your will. For example in this tutorial the sigil will bring bravery.

1. Write out your intention

“I will be brave”

2. Remove all repeating letters

W R A V

3. Then simplify the letters into basic shapes

/ / I C /— /

4. Then put those letters together and make a symbol from them. Make the symbol one that you feel comfortable with.

— a way to charge your sigil is to have other people look at it, or you can meditate with it, or sleep with it.

-Now from this step, you can do one of many things.
Fold it up and bury it, Burn it
Rip it to pieces and let the wind carry it off, put it in a river, lake, stream, ect.
rip it, set it in melted candle wax, put in witch bottle.

You, O Eternal Trinity,
are a deep sea into which,
the more I enter,
the more I find,
and the more I find,
the more I seek.
O abyss,
O eternal Godhead,
O sea profound,
what more could you give me than yourself?
God’s grace, unsought and unearned,
blows through my life,
and all I need to do
is raise my sails to catch the full wind.

Saint  Thérèse of Lisieux portraying Joan of Arc in a play written by Thérèse herself.  She also wrote several poems in honor of The Maid of Orleans.

To Joan of Arc
by Saint  Thérèse of Lisieux

When the Lord God of hosts gave you the victory,
You drove out the foreigner and had the king crowned.
Joan, your name became renowned in history.
Our greatest conquerors paled before you.

But that was only a fleeting glory.
Your name needed a Saint’s halo.
So the Beloved offered you His bitter cup,
And, like Him, you were spurned by men.

At the bottom of a black dungeon, laden with heavy chains,
The cruel foreigner filled you with grief.
Not one of your friends took part in your pain.
Not one came forward to wipe your tears.

Joan, in your dark prison you seem to me
More radiant, more beautiful than at your King’s coronation.
This heavenly reflection of eternal glory,
Who then brought it upon you? It was betrayal.

Ah! If the God of love in this valley of tears
Had not come to seek betrayal and death,
Suffering would hold no attraction for us.
Now we love it; it is our treasure.

Saint Joan of Arc, pray for us.

Saint  Thérèse of Lisieux, pray for us
