i think some of the best love stories are formed from a place of forgiveness. not in a “oh, this person is a horrible monster, but i forgive them for what they do” way, but rather “one/both of us did something that was wrong or hurtful, and after taking the time to heal and grow, we learned to hold each other accountable for our actions and to love each other”. there’s something so beautiful about grace anyway, but relationships that are built on it have such a wonderful quality to them.
The Chicago library just posted a bunch of old manuscripts online to get the public’s help with translation and transcription. One of these manuscripts was “The Book of Magical Charms”, an anonymous grimoire from 17th century England.
This is PURE CHRISTIAN WITCHERY. It’s got spirit conjurings, (use with care), sigils, (also use with care), spells and potions, (USE WITH CARE don’t be eating anything a 17th century manuscript says to eat without researching it first), prayers galore. Some of it is in Latin, but if you hit the translator tab, a bunch of people have already translated some significant chunks. Me myself will be digging out my Latin textbooks because I am THAT LEVEL OF NERD.
There is literally no demographic more interesting than queer religious people. Even if you never had much of a crisis in faith (like me), we are still forced to reconcile what we believe in with our own existence in a way that straight religious people, and nonreligious queer people, will never fully experience. I once spoke to a lesbian minister of a queer-centric nondenominational church who said “the god you believe in is always a reflection of self, which is why queer people see god as so much more loving and forgiving than other people do. Our god is a form of self-love and acceptance” and i will never forget that.
Who are they to say that nature isn’t mine to manipulate
Did God not say “and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”
Genesis 1:25
Are the seas not mine to command, the wind not mine to harness, the rumble of the Earth not to obey me?
I was forged from dust and breathe from the almighty King
“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.”
Psalms 82:6 KJV
And dare say ye that I am not made in the likeness of my father
this is a spell to encourage growth, beauty, positivity and development. it will inspire you to improve yourself and give you a radiant aura like blossoms in spring. best done during a new or waxing moon. you will need:
✿ one flower (preferably with a stem) that is currently blooming in your region, to represent the present time and the place in the world you reside.
✿ pastel pink, blue, white candle(s), to represent the spring, positivity, self love
1. wait until morning to cast this spell, while the sun is out. light your candle(s) and hold your hands above the flame to warm them for a moment, then take your warmed hands and press them against your cheeks to place rosy glowy energy into them.
2. hold the spring blossom in your hands and whisper kind words to it. tell it how you love its radiance, happiness and growth; ask it to teach you how.
3. wear the blossom behind your ear, blow out the candle(s), and go about your day.
Hi, here’s a reminder that many times, God works through people – that includes psychologists and psychiatrists. We should never take our gift of knowledge for granted, and if you feel you need to get help, gethelp: prayer will aid you, but allow God to work through others as well!
